Case study: Wildberries and Ozon price monitoring with a Telegram bot

A Python service tracks product prices on Wildberries and Ozon and sends notifications to Telegram. Send an article number or a product link and the bot shows the latest price, then messages you when the price changes.

The task

The seller needed to see what was happening to their prices without opening the marketplace several times a day. Separate exports did not help: they show the state at the moment of download, and what was needed was a signal when something changed.

Keeping the whole history in your head, or in notes, stops being realistic as soon as there are many products. You need one place showing both the current price and how it moved.

What we did

Add by article number or link

There is nothing to look up or fill in: send the article number or the product link. The bot shows the latest price straight away.

Change notification

When the price changes, a message arrives in Telegram with the old and the new price. That is the event the whole thing exists for: no comparing values by hand.

History and chart

The history of changes is stored and shown as a chart, so you see not only the current value but the shape of the price over time.
